February 20th, 2008

Carter had his six month (technically he is 6 months and 20 days old, but anyway...) wellness doctors appointment today. Carter was a sport and let Dr. Asdell poke and probe him, he actually did not cry much when he received his six (yes, SIX) shots - poor thing. According to Dr. Asdell, Carter weighs 18 lbs (60th percentile) and is 28 inches long (90th percentile); so he is tall and skinny!! Dr. Asdell says he is "right on track physically and developmentally" and asked to see Carter 3 months from now for his next wellness appointment.

February 18th 2009

Brad and I thought this was too adorable to not take a picture of...
Carter fell asleep playing with his car-seat mobile, but never lost grip of his toy!!
(He slept like this for about 15 minutes)

February 13th 2009

Carter loves playing around at bath time... Look at his crazy hair-doo
(both he and dad thought it was hilarious!!)

February 9th 2009

Looking coy, Carter practiced eating big-boy food (a banana)... He really enjoyed it...
After all that excitement, he and dad had to take a nap...

February 6th 2009

Carter is trying to crawl...
He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth but instead of moving forward, he pushes himself backwards (away from his toys) and becomes increasingly aggravated (at his toys). It won't be long until we are chasing him around the house. Watch out Murphy...

Playing with Grandpa Gary!!

February 5th 2009

Carter is becoming more and more interactive with his toys!
(Look at those chubby cheeks!!)
Developing his basketball skills... Carter and Brad practice weekly!

But inevitably, the toys end up in his mouth...

January 23rd 2009

As you can see, Carter LOVES his horse bouncer!!
(Thank you to Jan and Jennifer Worland for buying Carter this toy!)

He is growing up so fast...

January 6th - Playing with Christmas Toys

Carter loves his choo-choo-train (thank you Aunt Johnna, Uncle Gregg & boys!)
He especially loves chewing on the balls...

Bellaire, Michigan (a.k.a. Northern Pines, Up North) Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Hassenger for the Holidays

Sitting with Mom and Dad in Great Great Grandpa and Grandma Hassenger's (Grandpa Bob Hassenger's parents) sled. This is THE sled that Grandpa Bob's father courted his mother in years ago! Isn't that awesome!
Bundled-up (with the pacifier), enjoying the outdoors with Dad...
and posing with Mom...

Carter with Grandma and Grandpa Hassenger

Looking out the kitchen table's window - watching birds, squirrels, and deer eat and play in the snow. I can't wait to take pictures of this same scene throughout the years...

Carter's First Christmas

Opening one of his many (many) gifts...

Sitting with Great Grandpa Worland
In his church outfit...Eating wrapping paper...

Smiling with Grandpa...

December 21st - Getting the hang of his exersaucer...

December 17th 2008 - Big Boy!

Sitting in his high chair for the first time! Doesn't he look like a little man?!
Taking more than a bite-full of green beans - Carter found the high-chair tray more interesting than his cereal and green beans...

Eating his first Thanksgiving meal...

Carter absolutely loved eating Great Grandma Faye's sweet potato casserole
(like father, like son!)

Carter's First Thanksgiving Day

Helping mom cook on Thanksgiving Day while watching the Macy's parade!

November 15th - Michigan vs. Michigan State Football Game

Despite "Aunt" Amber's best effort, Carter rooted on Big Blue in his official Michigan outfit!

Relaxing in his diaper with his pal Rufus, exercising those neck muscles on his boppy! Look at this cutie!

Laying around, playing with Grandma Lynna...
